Because it's impossible to find out about or actually watch on tv/internet.
For instance, I use to follow the american Le mans league. CBS would actually air the races, with golf or tennis breaks every 45 min or so. It was great. Now its the Tudor United SportsCar Championship. But for some reason I thought it was also the WEC. took a while of googling to sort that all out. But more importantly I discovered the Continental Tire SportsCar Challenge during my research! WTF, how come this has been running for two years and I just found out about it. Mostly stock sports cars duking it out. YES PLEASE! hell they even run a detuned Z28! I wanna watch that! wtf..
Any ways have a GS.R spec z28 for your time

Not to mention there's absolutely no way to watch the WRC in the states.

Right! Speaking of WRC, when ever people ask me if I'm a fan of Rally racing. Well I usually just tell them this "I enjoy the concept immensely, I enjoy watching old reruns of the glory days of Group B from the 80's and adore the cars Rally racing has inspired and released upon the world. But in order to say I'm a fan of WRC I'd actually have to watch it..." which no I can not do! I don't even both reading up on it cause whats the point?

The Continental is a support series. That'd be like catching an ARCA race on a major channel. It's just pretty unlikely. It is pretty cool though.
I don't know what TUSC's ratings were like last year. I seem to remember reading that Formula 1's ratings in America improved last year despite frequently being bumped around channels (CNN, NBC Sports or NBC) and occasionally running on tape delay.
TUSC was on a fairly new channel last year with Fox Sports 1 taking over from Speed so once people know where to find it, it should improve over time. Get good enough ratings and you might start seeing those support series on TV too. Xfinity/Nationwide gets pretty regular broadcasts now, I think, and ARCA does actually land on TV occasionally.

Its true. Theres 22 different sports channels on tv. But rarely do they show racing of any kind. Speed had decent coverage, buts thats gone now.

Not "absolutely" any more, with the advent of WRC+. No, you can't watch all the stages live, but you can get a nice amount of coverage.

whats ARCA? is that like the minor leagues for NASCAR? based on a quick Google that's what it looks like.
But who cares if it's a support series? it looks freaking awesome! I recall when speed was first on the air they played a whole bunch of SSCA races! those where a hoot to watch. I love seeing actual race prepped road cars duking it out. thats what drew me to american Le mans all those years ago, even if those GT cars shared less with road cars than say the The Continental series. I think like me more people would enjoy watching street cars duke it out more, hell if NASCAR went back to actual stockcars I'd even watch the shit out of that!

Yeah ARCA is like the highest level of NASCAR before the big three series. The races can be pretty good.

They use to broadcast continental 1 week later than the main race at same location, despite it being the day before always.
You can usually catch the ENTIRE RACE, on youtube (not live) from one of the idiot retards accounts, imsa or tudor or conti (they have horrible organization).
Anyways I've been saying this for years. The reason no one watches racing is companies like Fox/ Nascar and the rest of Murdoch shitholes have so many buttfucked rights issues for this channel in that area, and this channel belonging to that network the SIMPLE FACT IS THEY CARE MORE ABOUT TRYING TO MAKE MONEY THEY DON"T GIVE A SHIT ABOUT WHAT KIND OF EXPERIENCE THE SPECTATOR HAS.
This is because nascar doesn't want other racing to succeed, they want racing where they control 100% of all profits on all things, so they keep other racing such a shitty experience nobody watches.
It's all greed.
